DAVAO City’s swimming sensation, Ivo Nikolai Enot, will proudly represent the Philippines at the 46th Southeast Asia (SEA) Age Group Championships, set to take place from December 6 to 8, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Philippine Aquatics, Inc. recently announced the 12-member Philippine swim team, which includes Enot alongside Ryian Zach Danzel Belen, Reinielle Jan Mikos Trinidad, Oeter Cyrus Dean, Jaydison Edrei Dacuycuy, Jamesray Mishael Ajido, Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, Shania Joy Baraquiel, Sophia Rose Garra, Riannah Chantelle Coleman, Maxene Hayley Uy, and Liv Abigail Florendo.

Enot, an 18-year-old AB Interdisciplinary Studies freshman at Ateneo de Manila University, expressed his excitement: "I'm aiming for good times in Bangkok and hopefully to bring home medals, just like the past two years. I'm confident I still have this fresh mindset I've gained from Uaap."

The Dabawenyo recently delivered a stellar performance at the UAAP, clinching six gold medals in events such as the 50-meter backstroke, 200-meter backstroke, and 50-meter freestyle. He also set new records in the 100-meter backstroke, 4x50-meter medley relay, and 4x100-meter medley relay events.

He said, "It was an impressive feat for a rookie, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming seasons."

"This is my fifth and last SEA Age Group championships," Enot told SunStar Davao in a Messenger interview on Sunday afternoon, December 1, 2024. Yung basis po ng qualification is dapat you have to hit the QTS to qualify (The basis for qualification is meeting the Qualifying Time Standard (QTS). Out of thousands who competed, only 12 of us made the cut). It was an impressive feat for a rookie, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming seasons," Enot said.

For this year’s SEA Age Group meet, Enot is entered in the 50m, 100m, and 200m backstroke and the 50m freestyle.

Initially selected to represent Davao City in the BIMP+NT Friendship Games in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Enot had to withdraw due to his commitment to the SEA Age Group Championships. MLSA
