
THE Department of Education-Panabo City (DepEd-Panabo) proudly celebrated its back-to-back victories during the 2024 National Literacy Conference and Awards held at Waterworld Hotel, Mandaue City, Cebu.
The E-Skwela Community Learning Center was hailed as the National Winner for the Outstanding ALS Community Learning Center (CLC) Category of the 2024 Gawad MATATAG, solidifying its position as a beacon of excellence in alternative education.
Meanwhile, Nelson A. Bansag, Jr. earned the second runner-up recognition in the National ALS Teachers’ Achievements Recognition (NALSTAR) Category of the 2024 Gawad Sinag, a testament to his unwavering dedication to empowering learners through ALS.
The prestigious awards were presented by the Literacy Coordinating Council Officials and received by Regional Director Allan G. Farnazo, Superintendent Jinky B. Firman, Regional ALS Focal Maricel S. Langahid, and the ALS Panabo City Packaging Team, led by Education Program Supervisor Jaime C. Carlom.
