THE new generation phenomenal love team DonBelle is back, now with a bigger project and reaching a wider audience on multiple platforms.
Rising superstars Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano are now ready to treat fans with their much-awaited project "Can't Buy Me Love," which will premiere first on streaming platforms Netflix Philippines and iWantTFC before airing on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5 beginning October 16.
In this series, the reel lovers are about to unravel Gen Z's concept of love.
In a press release, ABS-CBN said the series revolves around the distinct lives of teenagers Bingo (Donny), a hard-working seller who wants to save up to P1 million after his mother left him, and Caroline (Belle), the black sheep of a wealthy Filipino Chinese family. Their worlds will collide after Bingo saves Caroline from the kidnappers who left her almost drowning.
In a recent interview, Pangilinan shared he is proud of the growth Mariano achieved through the years.
“I think she's grown so much in terms of her artistry and how she plays around with her emotions, the different takes she does," he said.
"How she approaches life, work, and being professional, it's very different from the day I met her in 'He's Into Her.' Even the way that she prepares [for projects] is very different," Pangilinan added.
Mariano, for her part, also applauded her partner’s performance for this project highlighting Pangilinan has "evolved in his craft."
This is also the love team’s first project with director Mae Cruz Alviar. DonBelle has starred in a number of hit projects, such as the series "He's Into Her" and the movies "Love Is Color Blind" and "An Inconvenient Love."
This marks the second teleserye to stream on Netflix Philippines under the continuous partnership between ABS-CBN and Netflix. DonBelle fans would not wait any long as they can start streaming this much-anticipated series starting October 13 or 72 hours ahead of its TV broadcast. Meanwhile, iWantTFC users also get a premium as they can also watch it 48 hours before its TV premiere through their apps and iwanttfc.com.
Joining Donny and Belle in this Star Creatives produced series are veteran actors Nova Villa, Celeste Legaspi, Agot Isidro, Rowell Santiago, and Ruffa Gutierrez.
Also joining the cast are Maris Racal, Albie Casiño, Kaila Estrada, Joao Constancia, Karina Bautista, Vivoree, and Darren.
Catch the series' premeire first on October 13 or 72 hours before its TV premiere on Netflix and on October 14 or 48 hours before its broadcast premiere on the iWantTFC app (iOs and Android) andiwanttfc.com.
