DUAW Davao 2025 is brewing fresh excitement as it returns this June with two new major attractions designed to spotlight the city's rich cacao and coffee culture, reinforcing the city’s identity as a rising hub for homegrown flavors and cultural pride.

Grace Plata of the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) announced that this year’s celebration will include the “Definitely Davao: Tsokolate ug Kape Crawl” and the “Definitely Davao City Tour,” both scheduled to launch on June 5.

These additions aim to broaden the festival's reach and give both locals and tourists deeper access to Davao's unique offerings.

The Tsokolate ug Kape Crawl, a featured event in celebration of the National Cacao Month, will highlight 15 local coffee shops and 10 chocolate establishments across the city.

Plata said the event serves not only to promote local enterprises but also to honor and support the farmers behind Davao’s globally recognized cacao and coffee products.

Meanwhile, the Definitely Davao City Tour will give participants an immersive experience through visits to key city landmarks, including the Central 911 Command Center, Davao City Library & Information Center, Philippine Eagle Center, Museo Dabawenyo, and Doña Vicenta Park.

“Our events revolve around what makes Davao unique,” Plata shared during the May 23 PEP Talks media forum. “Each year, we aim to build on the success of previous editions.”

Now in its second year, Duaw Davao continues to grow in scale and impact. The festival will run from June 5 to 29, with its grand opening set at Rizal Park at 5 p.m. Preparations for the event are currently almost at 100 percent completion rate, with simulations underway to ensure smooth implementation.

Also returning this year is the popular Reyna ng Davao, a pageant celebrating the empowered LGBTQ community of Davao. Now in its screening phase, the event serves as the highlight of the month-long celebration and embodies the city's pride in its strong, diverse, and resilient female leaders.

At its heart, Duaw Davao, which translates to "Visit Davao", is more than just a festival. It’s a call for homecoming, exploration, and appreciation of what the city has to offer.
