FIVE members of the Dutertes were proclaimed on May 13, 2025 winners in the posts they were gunning for during the local elections. They will soon be serving in key positions in Davao City.

Based on the canvass report, as of 12 noon of May 13, former President Rodrigo Duterte will be returning as Davao City’s mayor, securing 662,630 votes and defeating Karlo Nograles, who only got 80,852 votes, and Bishop Rod Cubos with 7,757.

Karlo Nograles is the son of FPRRD’s political arch-nemesis in the mayoralty position some years back, the late Prospero Nograles. FPRRD and Prospero had already reconciled before the latter passed away.

Sebastian "Baste" Duterte was proclaimed the city's vice mayor, winning the position with 651,356 votes, defeating Bernie Al-ag with 78,893, and Oyie Barcena with 5,219.

Paolo “Pulong” Duterte was declared the first district representative with 203,557 votes, defeating Atty. Margarita “Migs” Nograles with only 49,186, and Mags Maglana’s 3,530.

Atty. Migs is the youngest sibling of Karlo and PBA Partylist Chairperson Jericho Nograles.

Rodrigo Duterte II, son of Paolo and grandson of FPRRD, was proclaimed the top councilor in all three districts with 1192,324 votes. He will soon be serving as the first district councilor.

Other candidates who were proclaimed winners as first district councilors were Melchor Quitain (175,474 votes), Atty. Luna Acosta (165,173 votes), Cookie Bonguyan (153,308 votes), Bonz Militar (150,626 votes), Ragde Ibuyan (148,474 votes), Temujin "Tek" Ocampo (145,299 votes), and Pamela "Pameng" Librado (with 132,709).

Omar Duterte, a sibling of Duterte II, was proclaimed second district representative with 160,432 votes, defeating Javi Garcia Campos, with 90,156 votes, and Melogen Montesclaros with 1,895 votes.

Campos is the nephew of the Garcias, Mylene and Vincent, who had been holding the position for several years. He is also the scion of the Garcias who are long-time politicians in Davao City.

The newly proclaimed councilors of the second district are Atty. Diosdado Mahipus (149,171 votes), Ralph Abella (148,070 votes), Louie John Bonguyan (136,994 votes), Che Che Justol (136,078 votes), Al Ryan Alejandre (129,868 votes), Danny Dayanghirang (124,065 votes), Nonong Cabling (115,481), and Doce Apostol (112,625).

Meanwhile, Duterte ally Isidro Ungab was proclaimed the third district representative with 178,721 votes, followed by Wilberto “Nonoy” Al-ag with 30,687 votes, and Ruy Elias Lopez with 19,243 votes.

Ungab will be serving his last term now.

The newly proclaimed councilors of the third district are Alberto Ungab (153,433 votes), Doc Enzo Villafuerte (144,270 votes), Atty. Bai Hundra Cassandra Dominique Advincula (137,001), Petite Principe (129,490 votes), Rachel Zozobrado (129,292 votes), Doc Potpot Villafuerte (128,425 votes), Jopet Baluran (125,895 votes), and Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz (121,076 votes).

However, during the proclamation, Sebastian and Pulong were a no-show. In an interview with Rigo, he said that they were tasked by the family to represent his father and uncle.

"Sabi nila na kami na lang daw pumunta in behalf (They said that we should go in their behalf)," he said in a media interview.

"I will follow their footsteps. I am ready. Medyo kulba [it is nerve-racking]," he said.

Rigo said that he would prioritize healthcare, as this was an area that had not been prioritized by FPRRD, whose focus was on safety and security.

Since he has been proclaimed the top councilor in all districts, he will stand in as vice mayor when the vice mayor is absent. He also said that he is willing to preside over council sessions

In a Facebook post, Sebastian said that the welfare of the people comes from the voice of the majority. He then stressed their longtime tagline "Gikan sa Masa, para sa Masa (From the masses, for the masses)."
Meanwhile, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, daughter of FPRRD, expressed gratitude and pride following her father’s victory as mayor in the 2025 elections. She said that FPRRD has been in public service for a long time and that he is a public servant through and through.

“So proud of Tatay Digong for winning Davao City mayor! Thank you, Dabawenyos, for the love and support!” she said.
She said that despite his physical absence and the propaganda thrown against him, the fruits of his labor would remain. She said that his distance is not a hindrance and that the people have felt his presence. RGP
