FOR NCCC’s 40th anniversary celebration, it carries the official hashtag #ResilieNCCC. The celebration was launched with versatile actor Carlo Aquino serenading and meeting his fans at the NCCC Mall Buhangin last Saturday, September 15. Shoppers were able to get passes and posed for a picture with Carlo after purchasing at least P200 worth of Unilever products.

As Carlo now is one of the hottest names in the showbiz industry, many Dabawenyos were giddy the moment he stepped on the stage. Not only did he swoon ladies with his smile and his looks, Carlo also serenaded. Three lucky Dabawenyas were also invited by Carlo onstage and won the rare chance of dancing and being hugged by him.

Aside from inviting Dabawenyos to continue patronizing the homegrown NCCC, Carlo was also in the city to promote his upcoming movie with Angelica Panganiban, Exes Baggage. The audience became all the more giddy when host Joey Sy asked the relationship status of Angelica and Carlo, having had dated when they were younger. Somehow, many of the netizens would want them back now that they are both single and are apparently very sweet online.

“Masaya lang po kami kung anong meron kami ngayon. Napakadali po siyang katrabaho sa Exes Baggage dahil napaka kumportable naman po naming sa isa’t-isa,” answered Carlo emphasizing on how they both appreciate the current pace of their friendship (or whatever it is that they have together).

Carlo also thanked all the Dabawenyos who watched the movie Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, where he portrayed the role of Vicente Enriquez, the close friend of Heneral Gregorio del Pilar, played by Paolo Avelino.

Still in celebration of NCCC’s 40th anniversary, rising teen idols Heaven Peralejo and Gab Lagman also visited their fans in Davao City on September 16. Meet and greet passes were given to fans who purchased any regular-priced or discounted BNY Jeans or BNY Unlimited merchandise.

Starting out humbly as an ordinary textile company in the late 70s, NCCC has grown to be a household name in the Davao region operating in over 100 branches of various business units and reaching to key cities and municipalities in Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Compostela Valley, and Davao Oriental and even in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
