THE documentary film (docu-film) of former Davao City Police Office Acting City Director Col. Hansel Marantan, titled Sa Likod ng Tsapa, can now be watched across 73 cinemas nationwide, according to the latest update from the movie’s distributor Solar Pictures, starting on August 13, 2025.

In her statement, producer and Dabawenyo journalist Editha "Ging" Caduaya revealed that this is the first Davao-based film to secure nationwide theatrical release.

"This is proof that regional narratives can resonate on a big stage," Caduaya said during an online interview.

She said the movie is a powerful docu‑drama that would offer audiences across the Philippines an "unflinching journey into the life of Police Colonel Hansel Marantan," which also explores the hidden emotional toll, moral dilemmas, and personal sacrifices of a decorated officer now at the center of controversy.

Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre also supported the movie by inviting the public to watch as it underscores the discipline, excellence, and rigorous training of PNP personnel who dedicate their lives to protecting the Filipino people.

"This movie reflects the discipline, excellence, and relentless commitment of our police officers to safeguard lives and uphold peace and order," he said.

He added that it also aims to shed light on the untold stories behind the badge and spark conversations on justice, accountability, and the human face of law enforcement.

In Davao, the movie is shown at Gaisano Davao and Tagum, and SM cinemas.

Sa Likod ng Tsapa is PG-rated.
