Davao City witnessed a surge of energy last April 6, 2025, as EastWest’s Dream Run 2025 took off, bringing together over 3,000 runners in a celebration of movement, milestones, and dreams. This event, held in honor of EastWest’s 30th anniversary and Filinvest Group’s 70th milestone year, marked the thrilling start of a three-leg race series dedicated to uniting communities through fitness, fun, and shared aspirations.
With the 10K category selling out quickly, the event showcased Davao’s strong running culture and enthusiasm for fitness. But whether participants took on the 1K Dog Run, 2K, 5K, or the ultimate 30K challenge, runners of all levels, from weekend joggers to seasoned athletes, embraced the morning with determination and excitement.
Running coach and fitness icon Coach Rio dela Cruz led the warm-up drills before hitting the pavement alongside participants, bringing his signature energy and motivation to the event.
Post-race festivities transformed the finish line into a vibrant community hub filled with music, interactive booths, giveaways, and countless photo-worthy moments.
The 1K Dog Run proved to be an instant crowd favorite, as fur-babies and their proud owners dashed to the finish line, adding to the event’s joyful and inclusive atmosphere.
