In a speech, JCI Mati’s first president RJ Pandili highlighted that the chapter will live up to the values and principles of JCI as an international organization.

“JCI, for me, goes beyond just a typical social group. It is a group of young people who have a strong heart for community service. A passionate men and women that are selfless in serving our countrymen,” Pandili said.

Under his leadership, Pandili shared, he will develop the culture of excellence in the local organization.

For its first year, JCI Mati adopts the theme: Chartering Excellence, to guide their year-long initiatives.

“At its core, Chartering Excellence is about setting ambitious goals, and working tirelessly to achieve them. It is about pushing oneself beyond one's limits, taking on new challenges, and refusing to settle, for less than one's best. It is about owning one's life, contributing to the community, and embracing one's future with courage and conviction,” he said.

Aside from the historic induction ceremony, other highlight activities of JCI Mati include Youth Forum on mental health at the Davao Oriental State University on April 14; Think Green launching of JCI Philippines at Guang Guang Mangrove Park, Pujada Bay on April 15; Project Dagayang Grand Raffle Draw on April 15; and the Fellowship Night at Cala Beach Resort on April 15 featuring DJ Angel of JCI Manileña and DJ Eubzm of JCI Central Davao.
