THE Sustainability Awards Inc. has placed Davao del Norte Provincial Governor Edwin I. Jubahib and the province of Davao del as top choices for the Nation Builders and Mosliv Awards 2023.
Jubahib was awarded as the Governor of the Year while Davao del Norte was recognized as the Most Sustainable and Livable Province during the Nation Builders and Mosliv Awards 2023 awards rites held at Okada Manila, Parañaque City on June 30.
Information published by the Provincial Information Communication and Knowledge Management Office (PICKMO) of Davao del Norte said that those considered for the award were government and private sector leaders among whom Senator Francisco Tolentino, Senator Win Gatchalian, Chief Public Attorney Dr. Persida Rueda-Acosta, house of representatives, provincial governors, mayor and other officials of local government units.
According to the Sustainability Standards Inc., the Nation Builders and Mosliv executive awardees went through a rigorous selection process based on their courage, their contribution to nation-building, and their exemplary initiatives making themselves good examples of public servants.
Right after the June 30 grand opening of the Kadagayaan Festival 2023 attended by Senator Imee Marcos as the guest of honor and speaker, Jubahib went his way to Metro Manila for the awarding rites.
When he came back the following day on July 1 to deliver his “Ulat ni Kuya Gob” State of the Province Address (SOPA) on the 56th Anniversary Day of Davao del Norte, Jubahib first revealed the awards that he and the Province of Davao del had reaped.
“I offer these awards to the peaceful and hardworking Dabaonons. This is your award, dili ni akoa (This is not mine). I am only a good steward. Inyo lang kong (I am just your) public servant; inyo lang ko sulugoon (I am just your servant),” he said. “For this reason, we have a million reasons to celebrate the 56th Araw ng Davao del Norte,” he added.
