In celebration of Adoption and Alternative Child Care (AACC) Week, over 200 passionate bikers gathered for Bisigkleta 2025, an annual bike ride for a cause that champions every child's right to a loving, permanent, and nurturing family.
Held under the theme “Hope and Home for Every Child”, this year’s AACC Week highlights the strength of collective action in ensuring the well-being of children in need of care and protection.
Bisigkleta served as both a symbolic and physical movement bringing together advocates, adoptive families, social workers, and volunteers who are committed to building homes filled with hope.
Riders traversed scenic city and countryside routes, not just to raise awareness, but to send a powerful message: Every child deserves a family.
“This is more than just a bike ride. Bisigkleta is a journey of compassion and commitment,” said Eden G. Macalino (OIC-Racco-Davao). “It reflects the spirit of Filipino families, resilient, loving, and inclusive.”
Throughout AACC Week, various events such as information sessions and adoption mall forums will be organized to educate the public and encourage more prospective adoptive and foster families to come forward.
As Bisigkleta concludes, the wheels of change continue to turn, driven by a shared vision of a country where no child is left behind and every child has a home. PR
