The workshop helped build on  such enthusiasm by bringing the participants closer to the craft and culture of Japanese animation.

Industry experts from Toei Animation, Phils., Inc. headed by its president Mr. AZUMA Iriya and production group manager, Mr. Apollo AƱonuevo conducted the workshop.

The  participants learned about the world of Japanese animation, its unique styles and differences with its western counterparts. The future animators also had the opportunity to draw and share their own original anime characters.

For several decades now, the Philippines and Japan have developed a dynamic and productive relationship in the field of animation. Japanese animation companies frequently collaborate with Filipino studios and artists to bring popular anime series to life.

Many iconic Japanese anime series, such as Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Slam Dunk and One Piece, have been mostly animated in the Philippines. PR
