She has demonstrated that beauty queens possess both clinical expertise and pageant charm through her work as a pharmacist and her role as a beauty queen.

1. She’s a licensed clinical pharmacist
Katrina graduated from the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) in Davao City with a Pharmacy degree before passing the national board exam in 2020. Her medical experience forms the foundation of her identity, and she has worked in hospitals as well as community healthcare facilities.

2. Her humble journey as beauty queen
Her journey began humbly when she was forced to join a campus pageant. From there, she quickly rose in the local pageant scene, winning titles such as Miss Fresh Face, Miss University of Immaculate Concepcion (UIC) Intramurals, Miss APSCUR at both City and Region 11 levels, Miss Silka Davao, and Miss Silka Philippines.
3. She cares for 13 rescued dogs at home
The combination of pageant activities and dog ownership is unusual for beauty queens but Katrina makes it work. She shares her home with 13 dogs, which include several rescued animals as well as senior and special-needs pets. One even uses a wheelchair. Animal care represents more than a pastime for her since she dedicates herself to showing compassion to all creatures.
4. Her journey began with a near-win
Katrina competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2023, where she secured the position of 1st Runner-Up. She spent two years preparing before her successful return in 2025, when she claimed one of the major crowns. Her determination shows that failures can become opportunities for greater achievements.

At the Binibining Pilipinas 2025 coronation, Katrina was asked about what she would do about fake news on social media. 6. Bound for Miss International 2026
The 27-year-old Filipino-American beauty queen succeeds last year’s winner, Myrna Esguerra of Abra, who is set to compete in the 2025 Miss International pageant later this year.
