THE youngest daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, shared in in Instagram post on Sunday, March 30, 2025, how she misses her father dearly and how a great father FPRRD is.
Kitty hinted that she would be sending letters to her father every day, as her father likes to keep those.
She revealed FPRRD had kept the letters she wrote when she was a child, and she wishes she could show the public how great a father FPRRD is “because the videos and pictures do not do justice to his character.”
Kitty also revealed that she is the loneliest because she still sleeps beside her father, even at 20 years old. She added that the room they share is now different because her father is not there with her anymore.
“I am thinking of you everyday dada, not just me, but the millions of people with this immense love for you. We will be waiting for your return home,” she said.
In her birthday greetings, Kitty described FPRRD as a “man of few words but of action.” She said that, despite his age, FPRRD remains a strong force for his heroism and patriotism.
Earlier, thousands of people from around the world celebrated FPRRD’s 80th birthday. About 12 provinces, municipalities, and cities in Luzon, 18 in Visayas, 44 in Mindanao, and 34 locations abroad staged prayer rallies calling for Duterte’s return.
In Davao City, around 300,000 people participated in the “Rody @ 80: Filipino Global Solidarity Rally” at Roxas Avenue. Several roads were temporarily closed for the event, as approved under City Resolution No. 04184-25, filed by Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod Party Deputy Secretary Mikhal Evasco.
To recall, Rodrigo was taken to The Hague, Netherlands, for his alleged crimes against humanity on March 11. The pre-trial hearing was held on March 14, and the International Criminal Court (ICC) has scheduled the confirmation of charges hearing on September 25. RGP
