Laba Box – Laundry Business PH, in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region XI, proudly announces the signing of a groundbreaking Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to officially launch the LISAP (Laundry Industry Skills Advancement Program)—the Philippines’ first-ever national initiative dedicated to upskilling and certifying laundry technicians and operators.
This strategic collaboration marks a pivotal step in professionalizing the laundry industry, an essential yet often underappreciated and emerging sector that supports countless enterprises, including hotels, healthcare facilities, and commercial establishments nationwide.
“This is not just about washing clothes,” said Panela Ang, Founder of Laba Box – Laundry Business PH. “This is about empowering individuals, elevating industry standards, and future-proofing an essential service for national development.”
LISAP is designed to provide participants with:
• Technical Mastery in machine handling, advanced stain removal, and modern commercial laundry systems.
• Operational Excellence covering workflow optimization, safety protocols, quality control, and sustainable practices.
• Customer-Centric Training to deliver exceptional service and build long-term business relationships.
• TESDA Certification, granting graduates nationally recognized credentials that unlock employment and entrepreneurial opportunities across the Philippines and beyond.
• Technical Training on commercial, industrial and professional laundry equipment installation and troubleshooting
Delivered at state-of-the-art Laba Box training facilities, the program combines hands-on learning with expert mentorship, ensuring that graduates not only gain theoretical knowledge but also practical, real-world skills that directly enhance business operations.
This partnership is a testament to our shared commitment to economic empowerment, job creation, and industry innovation. LISAP will enable participants to transition from untrained workers to certified professionals, positioning them as valuable contributors to the economy.
LISAP aligns with TESDA’s broader goals of advancing technical education and creating inclusive opportunities for skills development and employment in emerging industries.
This historic launch was initiated by TESDA Davao Region headed by Regional Director Ramon Evan T. Ruiz, Davao City District Director Novielita A. Dispo, PTC Davao Center Administrator Engr. Sammy S. Cameros, PTC Davao Vocational Instruction Supervisor Jonathan D. Samillano and Davao City District Office Special Project Focal Francis Rey Q. Buñawan. The LISAP launch represents a turning point for the Philippine laundry industry—transforming a humble service into a recognized profession and laying the groundwork for a cleaner, more professional, and future-ready nation.
