On April 6, Trabaho partylist posted on its social media accounts heartfelt birthday greetings for Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, who champions the labor reform advocacies of the House of Representatives hopeful.
The greeting features a reel compilation showing fun and candid antics of Cantiveros-Francisco as well as her interaction with the public during their motorcade campaigns and market visits.
For instance, the comedienne was seen joining workers' dance during her visit with Trabaho in the Navotas Fisheries Port Complex the night before her birthday.
Cantiveros-Francisco was also described as “walang arte” at “makamasa”, noting how she always let women come close to her to give her friendly kisses and hugs.
In a market visit in Pasig, she was also seen eating food by hand with the meat vendors together with the group.
Amid all the fun, Trabaho further shared that Cantiveros-Francisco seriously makes herself available for “tao-sa-tao” [face-to-face] campaigns with the group’s nominees and members, putting a premium on ensuring that the labor sector knows who they are and the advocacies they stand for.
The party-list (No. 106 on the ballot) promises to reform labor laws that would provide more benefits and improved working conditions to employees and laborers, especially low-income earners. PR
