THE Davao Light and Power Co. Inc. with the Aboitiz Foundation turned over an electrical laboratory (e.Lab) to Vicenta Nograles National High School at SIR New Matina, Barangay 76-A, Davao City in time for the school's first foundation day.

Davao Light's Project e.Lab is in support of the Department of Education's Technical Vocational courses for the K to 12 curriculum. It is intended for high school students who are taking up the electrical installation and maintenance (EIM) course.

Davao Light EVP and COO, Engr. Rodger Velasco led the turnover and ribbon-cutting of the new laboratory together with the Davao City 1st District Congressman Karlo Alexei Nograles, PBA Partylist Representative Jericho Jonas Nograles, Department of Education Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Ines Asuncion and Vicenta Nograles National High School Principal Redilon Morales.

“The project will not only promote individual growth of the learners but will also create an impact to the community as the graduates of this course will be able to provide service for the community's electrical needs,” Engr. Velasco said.

Also present were Davao Light AVP for Reputation Enhancement Rossano Luga, Davao Light Community Relations Manager Davao Light Fermin Edillon, school faculty and students.

The e.Lab in Vicenta Nograles National High School is the 19th e.Lab that Davao Light has turned over to public high schools within its franchise. (PR)
