THE Korean boyband BTS gained world fame not just because of their synchronized, powerful dance moves and catchy songs but also the message they transcend to the world through their music.

It was on November 1, 2017 when Love Myself Campaign was presented by BigHit Music and BTS with United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) aimed at lending a helping hand to children and teens exposed to violence.

“Love myself, share love” is the message that BTS and Unicef wanted to share with others and promote to the world, and BTS’s Fandom Adorable Representative M. for Youth known as “Army” had responded to this call in different ways.

The Davao City Community of Army (COA) is now celebrating its first founding anniversary this month. Over the years, it has raised funds through organizing BTS-related events to support those who are in need.

Celebrating its first founding anniversary does not exempt itself to continue its purpose to the community, which is to stan BTS and to give an avenue for Davao ARMYs in supporting BTS in their Love Myself campaign.

“The organization serves as the bridge and keeps the synergy of the different groups, who also share the same passion, love, and dedication to the community through the inspiration from BTS, by having one goal of making a difference in this world through service.” Osbert Bryan Villasis, co-founder of Community of Army, said.

Through their COA Convergence Anniversary Celebration Event this coming March 13, 2022, the Davao ARMYs aim to provide medical and non-medical supplies to their chosen beneficiary which is the House of Hope Foundation.

House of Hope provides service and support dedicated to pediatric cancer patients from 0 to 19 years old at SPMC compound, Bajada, Davao City.

Their event is in collaboration with two cafes in Davao City that became their partners throughout their journey: Borahae Café and Juice Cubi Roxas Branch. These cafes have prepared fun games with exciting prizes which range from official to fan-made BTS merchandise, raffle draws, dress up like your bias contest, and the most anticipated, the BTS Permission to Dance on Stage: Seoul Concert watch party.

“The main goal of this event is to give an opportunity for the members of COA to gather in one setting and celebrate friendship and being fans of BTS but at the same time also contribute something to our chosen beneficiary. This is also a chance to remind every part of COA why COA exists and what we want to achieve by reminding them of our vision-mission goals and main core values,” Osbert said.

Currently, the Community of Army along with its partners and volunteers are teaming up in organizing this fun and exciting event. However, it is still looking for sponsors or donors for its anniversary celebration for a cause event.

If you want to help these selfless BTS ARMY volunteers to fulfill their purpose and achieve their goal for this event, feel free to message them on their Facebook page Community of Army or contact 0916 572 4650 and look for Miss Kate Alison S. Tong, sponsorship project head/volunteer.

As for how to join this event and for the ticket price, more details will be posted on its Facebook and other social media accounts which is Community of Army.
