NOT just men but as well as women are looking for a place where they can have a haircut after being stuck at home for weeks due to the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

After Davao City's quarantine status being eased to modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) and barbershops are starting to accept customers again at a limited number, Celebrity Barbershop announces that they offer services that are not just for men.

Aside from the usual men's haircut, Celebrity Barbershop also caters to women's hair needs, such as rebond, since its owner and manager, Ruden S. Dimpas, is well-trained in salon services.

“Not only for men but also for women, naa ta diri tanan services dili lang ni siya matawag nga barbershop, matawag na pod nga salon (Celebrity Barbershop is not only for men but also for women since we offer other salon services that we can already consider it as a salon),” Dimpas told Superbalita in an interview on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

Celebrity Barbershop also offers manicure and pedicure services.

Dimpas said they have chosen Celebrity Barbershop for its name among the other names on the list when they register its permit.

“Akong kauban sa church maoy nagpangalan human sa daghang pangalan nga gihatod sa DTI (Department of Trade and Industry), so kini ang among nahukman, mao nang swerte gyud, pinaagi sa tabang sa Ginoo kay bisan mga dagkong politiko ug mga iladong banay, diri na sa atoa magpagupit,” Dimpas added.

(My fellow at the Church named it such after the DTI suggested several names. So this is what we have decided that is why it's good luck, with God's help, because even the politicians and noted families they come here for their haircut.)

Celebrity Barbershop offers quality services as they have well-trained barbers and manicurists who came from their first branch, which is now its training center.

“Ang among Trading-Quezon Boulevard nga Ruden Barbershop niadto, diha kami naga-training sa atong mga barbero, gani naay duha ka traysikad drayber nga gusto gyod nilang mag barbero, so gi-train nato, mao tong nahimo na sab nato silang mga barbers. Libre ang atong training sa gusto mag-barbero, diin ang tumong nato, makatabang sa pobre nga dunay mapagkitaan kay bisan sa iyang silingan, puwede man siya makagupit," Dimpas said.

(Our Ruden Barbershop on Trading-Quezon Boulevard, that's where we train our barbers. In fact, there were two trisikad drivers who wanted to become barbers, so we trained them and they become our barbers. We train for free to those who want to become barbers since our aim is to help the poor so that they can have a livelihood because even to their neighbors they can already offer their haircut services.)

Currently, Celebrity Barbershop employs around 30 staff who serve at its four branches: in Trading-Quezon Boulevard, Matina Aplaya, San Rafael, and at Ecoland, all have state-of-the-art facilities.

“Diri, ma pobre man o kuwartahan ang kustomer, gi-tratar namo sila nga mga celebrities. Anhi namo, barato lang among mga serbisyo (Here at Celebrity Barbershop, we treat both the rich and the poor clients like celebrities. So come visit us as our services are affordable),” Dimpas ended.
