THERE is this new food-stop in Davao City that already gained a lot of attention for its affordability, accessibility and lutong-bahay cuisines.

The DGLicious restaurant, which opened last December 8, 2018, is owned by Dennis Gofredo and Mary Christine Beronio and their business partner Gil Fuentes, who are hoping to give Dabawenyos another option when it comes to choosing a buffet place in a very strategic area in Anda Street.

While some buffet rates in the city are not-so-friendly with the budget of the average working sector, DGLicious offers a satisfying food experience for only P199 for adults, P130 for children and P159 for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

“This restaurant is my long-term dream. Nag-start ko og trabaho, ako gyud ning gina-iponan so that ma-achieve nako akong gusto na business with my business partner pud (I have been saving for this since I started my job so that I will achieve what I want with the help of my business partner),” Dennis said.

“We want this to become a restaurant for all ages. This is unique because the place is cozy, the ambiance is very relaxing, and we only serve the best lutong-bahay food. We maintain consistency sa panlasa na even if it is affordable, it still tastes like that of expensive restaurant food,” he added.

Among those they serve are Shrimp with Gambas Sauce, Pinakbet, Pork Humba, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Chicken, and Crispy Banana with Cheese.

Aside from serving the best lutong-bahay, the owners made it sure that they also provide the best service. Dennis said that all their employees have gone through trainings and they maintain regular meetings for assessment to further improve their service to their customers.

“Our employees are already trained to handle different situations and different kinds of customers,” he said.

While DGLicious is still building its name and credibility in the food industry, the owners are preparing to serve more people through expansion and branching out not only in Davao but the whole country.

Dennis said that thinking positively helped him to believe in his dreams and now that it is slowly turning into reality, he will continue upgrading.

The restaurant also offers KTV rooms for friends and families and functions rooms for events such as weddings, birthdays or even closed-door meetings.
