IF THERE’S one thing I love about Dumaguete, it is definitely their affordable and wide selection of places to eat.
One of the newest places that I have discovered while I was there is Tarbush Restaurant which is known for serving authentic Lebanese-Filipino food wherein one of their specialties is shawarma. Also, I’ve heard a couple of friends rave about their shawarma which really got me curious.
The Food
Their menu consists of a wide selection of beef and chicken shawarma which comes in to serving sizes to choose from. Tarbush also serves rice meals, sandwiches, and salads.
I ordered their shawarma best seller – Mucho Gusto (P161) in small combo serving which comes with fries and drinks while my friend ordered their Standard Beef Shawarma (P139) which also came with fries and drinks. We also got their Tarbush Rice (P200) to share.
The Vibe
We ate there at around lunch time and the place is pretty chill, spacious with plenty of seats. You can either just drop by and grab your fave shawarma or stay in and enjoy your meal which is great.
The Verdict
The best shawarma that I have eaten!!! I really have not tried eating shawarma abroad but after trying out their shawarma, I can say that it really tasted pretty authentic to me. Their meat is perfectly cooked and the sauce is just amazing, their Tarbush Rice is also a must try.
Their staff is also very friendly and they serve your food fast. Two thumbs up for this restaurant! Check it out when you’re in Dumaguete.
Honestly craving for their shawarma as of this writing!
