NESTLED in the heart of Davao City, a new yet distinctive jewelry shop has found its home again, which should re-captivate the attention of both fashion enthusiasts.

The Mindanao Pearl International re-opens its showroom to the public on June 23, now located at ATP Commercial Bldg, fronting Grand Regal Hotel, Lanang, Davao City.
The jewelry shop takes pride for the "originality, quality, and excellence" of their natural pearls, a household name for more than 50 years.
"We have these deep-sea pearls, and natural ones, with no human intervention, they are naturally grown," Sitti Ong Go, MPI chief executive officer and the designer of pearl jewelry, said in an interview with SunStar Davao.
Sitti said every piece of jewelry “reflects the tradition of originality and crafted with patience,” with pearls being waited for up to ten years.
Despite temporarily taking a break from the pandemic, Sitti never closed her doors and continued to maintain the tradition of continuing to give high-quality pearls.
Sitti said to her employees to give her one more year before they will open a new showroom in Davao City - fast forward to today, she fulfilled her promise to bring her new branch to the city.
“Struggling talaga [during the pandemic], alam mo naman lahat ng business apektado... and now here we are, this is the first [re-opened showroom] since the pandemic,” Sitti said.
Aside from the Wild Pearls collection, on display are Sitti’s Pendants, which are designed for men and women. These are luxury letter (from A to Z) pendants that are made of a high-quality base mother of pearl engraved in solid 14-karat gold.
“Kung nakita mo, these designs are so unique so it’s one of a kind, the items will speak for themselves... kasi ang mga design hindi na nauulit, it’s the pearls also,” Sitti said.
Go also said they had been supplying pearl jewelry to different local and international clients in Metro Manila, Canada, United States, Europe, Middle East, Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, former Presidential spokesperson Attorney Salvador "Sal" Panelo also graced the ribbon-cutting event.
“Napakamabubuting tao, saka bilib na bilib ako sa mga design nito eh, I even bought for myself, my wife umoorder din, magaling... kaya congratulations for launching this beautiful shop,” Panelo said in his speech after the ribbon cutting event.
