My take on the 'It's Okay to Not be Okay'

AUGUST 11, 2020 -- It was 5 a.m. when I opened my Netflix account to watch the most awaited ending.

I could say the 16-episode series ended with a bang. Here's my top 10 reasons why you should not watch it -- too late.

1. The actors, actresses, and the animated stories worked well in sewing messages of compassion, forgiveness, and love throughout the series.

2. Each line and quote is like a life hack on how to be happy.

3. Stories of people with trauma and depression gave us a clearer picture of hope in overcoming battles.

4. The story taught that loving is not only understanding someone's pain but also staying patient when that someone does not wish to share about it yet.

5. "It's ok to be weak" -- being responsible for your happiness means breaking down and leaning on someone's shoulders once in a while.

6. Switching roles is not bad -- Established roles so comfortably built over time may be reversed to get better results. Sometimes our idea of strength needs to be sacrificed. No one is meant to carry the world alone.

7. Silence can kill and unprocessed emotions are like a heavy stone weighing us down when we want to stay afloat.

8. The butterfly, a concurrent theme, a symbol of the story tells us that it is always a process to overcome pain and something beautiful awaits after the dark.

9. In the end, cutting off our leash, overcoming people and events that take away your courage to be happy depends on our confidence built by people around us.

10. It's okay to not be okay.
