COFFEE lovers from all across Davao flooded SM Lanang Premier’s CoffeeFest, an event that gave coffee enthusiasts and experts the chance to learn about new industry trends and standards, and meet and mingle with other bean-crazed folks.
Held last September 21 to 23, the event filled the Atrium with crowds eager to learn more about coffee, its continuous development on the local industry and the best and sustainable practices on coffee production as well.
SM Lanang Atrium was overflowed with stalls of Davao coffee products and exhibitors promoting almost everything coffee.
Coffee Talk was an opportunity for bean lovers to know more about coffee industry developments locally. Guests include social-entrepreneur and Coffee for Peace CEO Joji Pantoja, High-Value Crop Development representative of the Department of Agriculture Davao Region, and the owner of Meridian Specialty Coffee Franco Roque who shared his insights about the commercial aspect of the industry.
Coffee Talk was a healthy dialogue and enriching flow of ideas with the discussion of the nature of coffee production, the developments in the local industry and the efforts done by the government and social organizations, as well as the health benefits of coffee in our body.
Highlights of the event also include coffee painting headed by Daryll Descalar, The Barista Challenge, and the Latte Art Showdown.
