BARANGAYS 3-A and 13-B in Davao City were identified as Covid-19 high risk while 11 barangays were classified as moderate risk from July 25 to 30, 2022.

Based on the Risk Assessment Map and Barangay Classifications released by the City Government of Davao, the 11 moderate risk barangays are 4-A, 11-B, 14-B, 16-B, 18-B, 30-C, 33-D, A. Angliongto Sr., Gov. Paciano Bangoy, Mabuhay, and Mudiang.

Only barangays 30-C and 13-B were not included in last week’s risk classification from July 18 to 23.

This is an increase compared to two weeks ago from July 11 to 16 when none were identified as critical risk and high risk but five were named as moderate risk barangays which are 10-A, 19-B, Gov. Paciano Bangoy, Tacunan, and Talomo Proper while 18 are low risk namely 11-B, 18-B, 33-D, A. Angliongto Sr., Bucana, Buhangin Proper, Cabantian, Catalunan Grande, Catalunan Pequeño, Indangan, Maa, Matina Aplaya, Mintal, Pampanga, Panacan, Tigatto, V. Hizon Sr., and Wilfredo Aquino.

In line with this, Dr. Ashley Lopez, head of the City Health Office (CHO), said on July 25 that the city is averaging 30 to 32 Covid-19 cases per day, including additional 30 confirmed positive cases on July 25 from 413 total specimens tested.

Lopez said the daily average positivity rate has reached 7.2 percent, which is more than the accepted safe threshold of five percent. However, he said this is possibly the peak of Covid-19 cases for Davao City.

“I am confident we will not surpass the current cases karon (our current trend of cases), mao na ning peak sa Davao na mag average of 30 to 32 cases (this is our peak in Davao averaging 30 to 32 cases),” he said during a radio interview with the Davao City Disaster Radio. ICM
