THE San Pedro Police Station (SPPS) recorded at least two robbery and “akyat bahay” suspects who were killed during police operation while four were arrested from May to June this year.
Police Chief Inspector Ramil Macarampat, SPPS station commander, said that after receiving complaints from citizens of a theft incident within their area of responsibility, the police responded to the crime and apprehended several personalities.
He identified the fatalities as Mark Jason Siong, 25, a resident of Purok San Isidro, Agdao Proper, and Jessie Moran, 18, a resident of Talisay, Times Beach, Barangay 76-A, who were involved in various theft and robbery incidents at Marfori Heights Subdivision.
“Both were neutralized when the suspects drew their firearms and shot the police officers but the police officers were not hit and were able to retaliate using their service fire arm, which resulted to the instantaneous death of the suspects,” Macarampat said.
