

THE Anti-Red Tape Authority-Eastern Mindanao (Arta-EastMin) has intensified its security cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the Davao Region for the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business Law and other red tape issues in the area.
The agreement last September 1, 2023, aims to discuss possible collaborative strategies and the special conduct of training for Special Investigators of Arta-EastMin, particularly in investigative techniques.
According to Arta Regional Chief Engr. Rhuelo Aradanas during their visit to the National Bureau of Investigation-Davao Region (NBI-Davao), the proposed partnership is also a positive step towards the strengthening and cooperation of Arta and NBI in the fight against corruption.
It will also help Arta lawyers and investigators gain insights and best practices in effective investigation and enforcement of entrapment operations and equip them to handle cases that may be filed with Arta.
On September 5, 2023, the group of Aradanas also discussed and expanded their cooperation against red tape with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Davao Region Field Unit.
Arta was established in accordance with Section 17 of Republic Act No. 11032. Arta is the government organization tasked with administering and enforcing the anti-red tape law and its implementing rules and regulations, as well as monitoring and ensuring compliance with the national policy on anti-red tape and ease of doing business in the country.
On May 4, 2022, Arta office in Eastern Mindanao was established at the National Food Authority Davao Region office in Davao City, the first of its kind in Mindanao and outside Luzon. DEF
