TO ENSURE that thieves could not enter major establishments in the poblacion area of Davao City, the San Pedro Police Station conducted an inspection of the drainage systems.

Led by Police Major Marvin Hugos, station commander of the San Pedro Police, they checked the main drainage on San Pedro Street on Friday morning, September 22, 2023.

According to Hugos, this is a precautionary measure to avoid possible robbery in money remittance offices, pawnshops, and even banks.

It can be recalled that thieves went through the drainage to enter a popular grocery store in Toril, Davao City some years back, making drains or canals a possible way for criminals to enter an establishment.

In the precautionary measures activity, the San Pedro Police is partnering with the Urban Search and Rescue (Usar) team of Central 911 to give more explanation to those in charge of the establishments.

The business managers cooperated in the activity.

In the recent robbery cases in the area of responsibility (AOR) of the Talomo Police Station, police considered the idea that the thieves had gone through the drainage before they entered the establishment. JPC
