Comelec still consolidating election results

TWO days after the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) held Monday, May 14, the Commission on Elections (Comelec 11) has not yet finished consolidating the results and the turnout of voters.

Comelec 11 spokesperson Krisna Samantha Caballero said the regional office is still waiting for the consolidated reports of their respective offices in the municipalities and cities in the region.

She said they could not yet provide a statistical data nor the percentage of those who voted in the election unless the consolidation of the results is complete adding, however, that the offices are still working on it.

Comelec-Davao City election assistant Maysah Casar, in a separate interview, echoed the same sentiment. In the first district, she said, Talomo Proper was the last barangay that proclaimed its winners at 12 midnight Wednesday.

"As we all know, Barangay Talomo Proper is among the biggest barangays in the first district, next to Barangay 76-A Bucana. The staff here are still encoding the results of the election," Casar said.

In Barangay 76-A Bucana, Rolando Trio Trajera was proclaimed new barangay chairman with 10,851 voters while their new barangay councilors are Allan Linao, Joyce Abellera, Antonieta Apa, Roselia Panao, Randy Ponteras, Ruthy Gementiza, and Dennis Bague.

Rhea Casallas Olanolan was proclaimed SK chairman of Barangay 76-A Bucana, garnering 3,561 votes while SK members are Rogeney Clare Morales, Kenneth Mar Tan, Mary Ann Malaki, Jhomari Abanto, Roxannefay Talamo, Niño Andrade, and James Bangod.

Meanwhile, winners in Barangay Mabuhay, one of the smallest barangays in the second district, are Edwin Suhayon Candia (barangay chairman) with 361 votes and his members are Ronilo Guerra, John Rey Cabungcag, Judith Serapio, Marites Manceras, Lorenzo Pagao, Gervase Colecha, and Marister Macansantos.

Barangay Mabuhay's new SK chairman is Baby Jane Nasole dela Cerna with 140 votes while her members are Arl Jhet Martin, Jasmin Campaña, Jodie Bello, Catherine Nasole, Mary Joy Padonia, Jay-R Cabungcag, and Mike Fran Jie Pagao.

Comelec-Davao election officer Jerry Mujal, said the second district is still consolidating the results of the elections. He added that they are also working on the honorarium of teachers who served on May 14.

In the third district, Barangay Toril Poblacion, biggest barangay in the district, has new chairman in the person of Lilibeth Lim Al-ag with 3,750 votes while her members are Gina Ching, Sherly Dante, Dante Lantayona, Tiermio Obeso, Olivita Alvaro, Leonard Rose Te and Edgar Al-ag.
