Cult group allegedly stealing from homes in Kidapawan

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Makilala Mayor Armando Quibod assured his constituents that they will investigate the reported theft and burglary of houses in the barangays in the city allegedly committed by a cult group.

Quibod tasked the Public Safety Office, Makilala Municipal Police Station, and members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to form a committee to help stop the reported crimes for the safety of the people.

This includes Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs), particularly force multipliers such as Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPAT), ward officials and volunteers.

As of writing, the official said there is still no confirmed report of robbers affiliated by a certain cult.

Despite this, the mayor urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate in solving the security issues in the city as it is everyone's responsibility.

Until now, other barangays in Makilala are reportedly experiencing knocking on houses every night with a different sound linked to wakwak (ghoul).

Mayor Quibod strongly believes that this is a way of the alleged cult to seize opportunity of stealing in their targeted houses. EEF
