TOO much anger had caused a father in Samal to stab his four children, killing three of them and critically wounding one.
The incident happened 11 p.m. on Thursday at Purok 1, Brgy. San Isidro, Babak District, Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos), Davao del Norte.
The victims were Rj, 13; Cyrus, 11; and Aira Nicole, 7, who are all dead on the spot on their bed at home while Sophia, 4 is currently on critical condition at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).
Sophia was first brought to the Samal District Hospital around 12 midnight and was then transferred to SPMC because of the deep stab wounds on her body.
Igacos Police Station was able to arrest Joel (identity witheld), 40, construction worker, who also have wounds after attempting to commit suicide after seeing his children soaked in their own blood.
It was reported that the suspect got sad over a fight with his wife. This caused her to leave him and has not gone back for weeks now.
From the information gathered by SuperBalita, the husband got jealous as there had been rumors that the wife has other lovers. This angered the suspect all the more.
Collected from the crime scene are two blooded knives measuring 12 inches and 5 inches long.
According to Police Regional Office-Davao Region spokesperson Chief Inspector Milgrace Cajes Driz, Igacos Police Station is already processing the multiple parricide case to be filed against the suspect.
At present, the suspect is kept under custody of the Igacos PNP.
