THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO), National Bureau Investigation (NBI), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) vow to work together to curb criminality.

DCPO Director Alberto Lupaz assured that they will continue their effort to solve cases of illegal activities and other criminalities in the city, including incidents of missing persons.

He assured that they are working to solve the Bragas rape-slay case, including killings and abduction, noting that this incident is an isolated case (unless a witness comes forward).

"We will review, together with our lawyers ang atoang mga (the compiled) affidavit, hopefully within this week. Kay among plano i-file sa ang namong kaso bago mi magpa-press con (Since our plan is to file case before we call for press conference),” Lupaz said.

He clarified that there are no quarrels among DCPO, NBI, and PDEA. Instead, each has gathered witnesses for the ongoing investigation.

He added that they are looking for reliable witnesses to corroborate the statements and findings to confirm if these are interconnected cases.

He also stressed that the witnesses should come out and report to the police officers instead of posting rumored statements on social media, which gives confusion in the investigation process.

By giving accurate information to the authorities, it will help the case progress and justice for the victims will be served immediately. (PIA Davao)
