THE beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program of the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) were beyond happy after receiving their wages after working for 10 days.

The program is in partnership with the Dumper PTDA Partylist.

Dumper PTDA Partylist Representative Claudine Diana Bautista-Lim said there are already 13 stores in Davao Occidental, part of the province’s women's project, that received cash aid through Tupad. These stores used the financial aid given by Dole, with the support of the Dumper partylist, as a seed fund.

Bautista-Lim revealed to a group of women in Tugbok District, Davao City during the Dole Tupad Pay-out at Mintal Gym in Mintal on July 17 that the women’s project is just the beginning and will be expanded throughout the country in the near future.

"Sa Davao Occidental gisugdan na nato ang maong proyekto, trese (13) na ka tindahan ang natukod, atong gipaningkamutan nga mahimo kini sa tibuok nasud pinaagi sa atong mga programa sa Dumper PTDA Partylist (In Davao Occidental we started this project, there are already 13 stores established. We are striving to replicate this project to the whole country through the program of the Dumper PTDA Partylist)," Bautista-Lim said.

About 1,133 beneficiaries received their payout following 10 days of work for Tupad.

According to Ramon Bargamento, Dumper Partylist in-charge in Davao City, they will try to include all puroks in the third district of the city in the Tupad program.

"Naa ta'y women's group, naa tay mga LGBTQ+, mga drivers ug mga nawad-an og trabaho, naa sa Tupad-Dole program nga gisuportahan sa Dumper PTDA Partylist. Sa karon nga pay-out naa ta sa 1,133 diin sa mosunod nga mga adlaw mopahigayon na sab kita og payout (We have women’s group, we have LGBTQ+, drivers and those who have lost their jobs, under the Tupad-Dole program which is being supported by the Dumper PTDA Partylist. For today’s payout, there are 1,133 beneficiaries and there will be more payouts in the coming days)," Bargamento said.

A simultaneous distribution of financial aid to 4,000 drivers in Metro Manila was held until Tuesday, July 18.

"Dako kaayo ning tabang sa amoang mga driver dako kaayo ang tabang sa Dumper PTDA Partylist, ginaatiman gyod niya ang mga drivers ug bisan dili mga drivers," said Eusebio Tagaan, 63, a resident of Barangay Baliok, Talomo District.

Bautista-Lim said that the programs of Dumper PTDA Partylist are not limited to drivers but for all those who qualify for its programs.

"Not only drivers but for all, naa ta'y women groups, naa ta'y LGBTQ+, mga single mom ug uban pa, alang kini sa tanan," the lawmaker said.

The payout for drivers will also happen this week in Koronadal City, followed by Polomolok in South Cotabato and also in Makilala and Kidapawan City.
