THE Jose Maria College (JMC), bolstered by international partners, is promoting quality education to incoming students for school year 2018-2019.
Jo Mark Libre, JMC vice-president for external affairs and industrial relations, said JMC, with its international partners Charles Darwin University in Australia, St. John University in New York, USA, and University of the West in England, aims to provide quality education.
"JMC is the only college here that offers Master’s Degree in Law. Its College of Law offers schedule and time track that is fitted for the learner’s schedule. In fact, President Rodrigo Duterte’s son, Sebastian ‘Baste’ Duterte also enrolled in its five-year track in College of Law," Libre said.
Aside from its world-class facilities, Libre said, JMC is a non-sectarian school and it is open to all religious affiliation supporting diversity in education. He added that their school is also Educational Service Contracting (ESC) Accredited which makes it more convenient.
JMS offers 11 Baccalaureate Programs and two programs under the College of Law. It also caters Integrated Basic Education (IBed) from Kindergarten-1 up to Junior High School (Grades 7 to 10) and Senior High School (Grades 11 to 12) featuring ABM, STEM, HUMMS, GAS and TVL tracks.
The school also extends its Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) courses that grant NC-2 and accept various scholarship programs from the government and private sectors.
Libre said JMC also opens more scholarship programs for students. He added that this had been the preparation of the school for the transition to be a university four to five years from now.
"Education is very relevant and is very important. As one of the advocacies of the former president is really to extend educational intervention," Libre said.
