THE Regional Health Service (RHS) of Police Regional Office-Davao offers mental health services to their police personnel.
Acting chief of the Davao RHS, Police Superintendent Michelle Arban, said during Connect at SM Lanang on October 27, that their office is conducting stress debriefing, post-traumatic stress debriefing (PTSD), stress management, and regular lectures as part of their mental health program.
“Naa tay neuro psych expert, licensed psychologist, (We have neuro-psych expert, a licensed psychologist),” Arban said.
She added that police personnel who were assigned in the combat field are also accommodated for counseling and stress debriefing.
They can visit their psychologist but if they seek for more mental health services they could be forwarded to the other experts or organization, Arban said. (RJC)
