Onnie files COC for councilor

DAVAO television personality, Onnie Alfaro, filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) at the Commission Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday, October 16, as an independent candidate for first district councilor.

"Gusto lang nako ipadayon akong mga gusto. kay before pa, public servant nako daan. Ingon ko na, pwede ipadayon nako ang serbisyo sa katawahan? (I just want to continue what I want to do because I have been a public servant even before. So I said, why not continue to serve the public?)," Alfaro told reporters after she filed her COC.

When asked about her platforms, she said it is still early to lay it all down but she said she will focus on youth development projects.

"First time ni nako, wala koy experience ani nga pagdagan karon. Wala sa akong hunahuna nga mag negative (It's my she first time, I have no experience. But I should not think negatively)," Alfaro said.

"Ang importante nga unsa ang atong ma contribute sa Davao City (What is important is our contribution to the city)," she added.

Alfar said it will be up to the people of Davao to choose her or not and she will just have to try.
