PDEA-Davao director Antonio Rivera said in an interview on Monday, June 25, that the acquisition of the brand new equipment is part of the procurement program and upgrading or modernizing PDEA’s capabilities to effectively deliver anti-illegal drugs operations.

“This is the second batch of new equipment that were given to PDEA 11 (Davao) intended to boost our firearms capabilities and we have also shield equipment to protect our agents from being injured during operation,” Rivera told the reporters.

The new equipment arrived last Saturday, June 23, from the national headquarters.

Rivera added that these new equipment will be distributed to different provincial and city offices of PDEA to boost their capabilities during their anti-illegal drug operations and also to avoid casualties on their side.
