A MAN dressed in a police uniform during his apprehension was taken into Talomo Police Station's study while attempting to sell a stolen TV and electric fan belonging to his former landlord in Blessed Lorenzo Ruiz Village, Puan, Brgy. Talomo, Davao City, on August 16.

The Talomo Police Station identified the 28-year-old suspect as alias Mario, a resident of Brgy. Igpit, Bagumbuhay, Digos City, Davao del Sur.

The police took action through Oplan RAT Tugis, acting on a tip from the former landlord, alias Jay, who sought assistance from the Talomo Police.

The complainant said that witnesses observed the suspect entering his former tenant's property and making off with a TV and electric fan with a combined worth of P26,000.

The police acted swiftly and prevented the suspect from selling the stolen items.

Notably, the suspect was apprehended while still wearing a police athletic uniform.

"This incident is just part of our quick response to any crime reported to us," Police Major Noel Villahermosa, Talomo Police Station chief, said.

The suspect faces charges of violating Art. 179 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) on the illegal use of uniform and insignia. JPC
