Police probe holdup at delivery service

THE Talomo Police Station is investigating a holdup incident at a delivery service company in Barangay Catalunan Grande, Talomo District, Davao City, around 9:45 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023.

According to Police Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the ongoing investivation is initiated by the Theft and Robbery Section of Precinct 3 in response to the incident.

Reportedly, two unidentified individuals entered the J&T Express Office and proceeded to carry out the holdup.

Alger Onas Cawayan, the supervisor, described the suspects as armed individuals in long-sleeved attire, arriving on a motorcycle.

The suspects immediately seized an undisclosed sum of money before making their escape.

The Talomo Police has not released an official statement on the incident as of press time. Still, they are actively reviewing the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify and apprehend the culprits.

Notably, on August 30, 2023, at 6:20 a.m., employees at a grocery store were alarmed to find the cash safety box in disarray. Upon examination, it was discovered that P400,000 in cash had been taken from the Choicemart Grocery Store in Puan, Davao City. JPC
