THE Police Regional Office-Davao Region (PRO-Davao) on Sunday, July 31, 2023, gave financial assistance to the bereaved families during the wake of the two police officers who tragically lost their lives on Wednesday, July 26, at Purok 4, Barangay Lacson, Calinan District.
PRO-Davao Regional Director Police Brigadier General Alden B. Delvo paid his respects to Police Senior Master Sergeant Tito Lague, who was about to retire when killed, and Police Corporal Mark Anthony Elman Corsino. The two were part of the team responding to an incident involving an alleged group of Lumad in Calinan.
"We honor the lives and the bravery offered by our comrades in line with their duties. Their act of patriotism to perform their oath will never be forgotten." Delvo said.
He also assured that the families will promptly receive the benefits and financial support they are entitled to. Delvo also visited the injured personnel to offer moral and financial support.
PRO-Davao Region released a press statement condemning the deaths of Lague and Corsino and committed to providing immediate assistance to the families of the injured and deceased officers.
