DAVAO City First District Representative Paulo "Pulong" Duterte met with United States Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Matina Enclaves, this city.
The US envoy shared to the media during the roundtable discussion, that her visit to the city was to share friendship, partnership, and alliance with Dabawenyos, and while she was here, she paid Rep. Duterte a courtesy call.
Rep. Duterte also handed over a little token to Carlson during her courtesy visit before she left for her other commitments.
After his meet-and-greet with Carlson, Rep. Duterte immediately went to his younger brother, Davao City Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte who was just inside the other room still at Matina Enclaves.
The siblings had a little chat and caught up with each other's personal lives since both of them are busy in their respective offices.
The Dutertes also talked about the significant plans to further improve the city and about the 38th Kadayawan Festival.
It is worth noting that the congressman sponsored several bills that are pending approval.
