SENATOR Christopher "Bong" Go was honored on Wednesday, August 23, with the prestigious Apostle Arsenio Ferriol Award of Excellence for Public Service and Governance at the 50th Founding Anniversary Awarding Ceremony of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch), led by Bishop Jonathan Ferriol.

The event, held at AATF Sports Complex in Imus City, Cavite, marked a significant milestone in the senator's journey of public service for the betterment of the Filipino people.

In his acceptance speech, Senator Go expressed his gratitude for the recognition and acknowledged the inspiration he draws from the teachings of the church.

The senator also extended his commitment to continuing his efforts to uplift marginalized communities, provide accessible healthcare, and foster a brighter future for all Filipinos.

“I stand before you humbled and honored to receive the Apostle Arsenio Ferriol Award of Excellence for Public Service and Governance. Maraming, maraming salamat po. Ang parangal na ito ay hindi lamang personal na pagkilala kung hindi isang patunay sa dedikasyon at mga pagsusumikap natin araw-araw upang mapabuti ang kalagayan ng ating bansa. Ito ay salamin ng ating sama-samang pagsisikap na paglingkuran ang ating mga kababayan,” Go said.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) Awards Committee for this very prestigious recognition. Labis akong naantig sa inyong pagkilala sa aking mga ambag sa ating national interest at sa ating pakikipagtulungan sa Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch),” he continued.

The PMCC (4th Watch), renowned for its unwavering commitment to faith, community, and social responsibility, celebrated its golden jubilee in a grand ceremony attended by distinguished guests and church members. The Apostle Arsenio Ferriol Award of Excellence is a testament to Senator Bong Go's exceptional dedication to the welfare of the Filipino people. This accolade recognizes not only his accomplishments but also his values of integrity, compassion, and selflessness – qualities that resonate with the teachings and principles of the PMCC (4th Watch).

Earlier that day during the Senate plenary session, Go also proudly co-sponsored Senate Resolution No. 719, commemorating the Golden Church Anniversary of the PMCC (PMCC 4th Watch). This resolution, a testament to the church's enduring commitment to spiritual enlightenment and community service, underscores the pivotal role that PMCC 4th Watch has played in the lives of countless Filipinos over the past 50 years.

“I rise before this august body to co-sponsor the resolution congratulating the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ – Fourth Watch, under the leadership of its Chief Executive Minister and the Goodman of the House, Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol, on the occasion of its 50th Church Anniversary,” Go said.

“The Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ – Fourth Watch holds an indispensable role in shaping Filipinos into the dedicated servants of God we are today. Without their unwavering support and nurturing guidance, our hearts would not be brimming with the abundant grace of God that sustains us. It has made a substantial contribution to the cultural and social fabric of Filipino society through its teachings, services, and community involvement,” he continued.

The Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ - Fourth Watch, founded in 1973 by its founder, Apostle Arsenio T. Ferriol, has grown to become a beacon of faith and service. “Iba-iba man ang ating pamamaraan, iisa ang ating hangarin. Ito ay ang mabigyan ng ligtas, komportable, at mapayapang buhay ang lahat ng ating mga kababayan,” Go conveyed.

“Your profound guidance and influence have cultivated a steadfast faith and an enduring connection to divine teachings, allowing us to navigate this life's journey with purpose and devotion,” he ended. PR
