A 17-YEAR-OLD boy, who was reportedly bullied, was found lifeless in Magpet, Cotabato province at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11.

The victim, a student, is a resident of Sitio Ambag, Barangay Tagbac, Magpet.

The mother, name withheld, said that her son returned home with bruises on his body.

The minor said he was bullied by a group of young teens who helped beat him.

The student told his mother that he did nothing wrong against the bullies, adding that he just came from the church as a volunteer when he was spotted by the suspects.

The mother, however, did not pay attention to the child's complaint. After an hour, her neighbors told her that a student committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree.

The student was taken to the hospital but the doctor declared him dead on arrival.

The victim's mother regretted that if she only had listened to her son's complaint, he would not have decided to commit suicide.

The family is seeking justice for his death. They also want that those who bullied and beat their family member would be arrested immediately.

The Magpet Municipal Police Station is currently investigating the incident.
