Suffocation cause of death of man found inside car in Langub

SUFFOCATION may be the cause of death of a 25-year-old man who was found dead inside a car on Thursday evening June 22 at Hilltop, Brgy. Langub in Maa, Davao City.

Based on the report from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the victim, identified as Rex (not his real name), is a resident of South Pacific Subdivision in Catalunan Pequeño.

The victim was identified through his driver's license, which was recovered by the Maa police.

According to the spot report, a vendor who also lives in the area said she saw the victim's car parked around 2 p.m. while its engine was still running.

After an hour, the car was still there but the engine wasn't running anymore. A few hours later, at almost nighttime, some vendors in the area were suspicious so they looked inside the vehicle.

and discovered the driver lying on his back in his seat lifeless. The residents immediately called Central 911.

Rescuers had to break the vehicle's side glass on the passenger's side since the doors were fully locked.

The victim's cadaver was immediately brought to a nearby funeral parlor for autopsy.

In addition to the spot report, the Scene of Crime Operations (SOCO) found no evidence of foul play or violence in the victim's death.
