Transport office notes fewer jaywalkers in Q2

THE DAVAO City Transportation and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) noted a lower number of jaywalkers from April to June 2018.

Based on the record of the CTTMO apprehension unit, the total number of people caught in the second quarter this year was 7,618, lower than the 12,456 people apprehended in the first quarter and 19,587 in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Ortega added that even with the reported number of apprehensions, Dabawenyos have become more committed to settle their financial obligations as a consequence of jaywalking.

From April to June this year, a total of 4,038 jaywalkers settled their fines. (GAD)
