Nearly 2M enrolled for SY 2025-26 as of June 19

THE Department of Education-Davao Region (DepEd-Davao) has recorded a total of 1,199,102 enrollees for the upcoming School Year 2025–2026 as of June 19, representing 89.2 percent of the previous year’s official enrollment. 

Of this number, 607,455 are male and 591,647 are female.

Davao del Sur leads with the highest enrollment rate at 95.45 percent, followed closely by Tagum City with 93.93 percent, and the Island Garden City of Samal at 93.76 percent. Davao City, the region’s largest division in terms of student population, has already enrolled 387,309 learners, or 84.52 percent vis-à-vis to last year’s enrollment.

The quick count data, based on Kinder to Senior High School enrollment, also shows strong participation across other divisions: Davao de Oro with 178,248 enrollees (91.50 percent), Davao del Norte with 112,827 (89.80 percent), Davao Oriental with 106,874 (92.60 percent), Mati City with 37,729 (87.91 percent), and Panabo City with 52,485 (92.82 percent).

Meanwhile, enrollment in the Alternative Learning System (ALS) has reached 20,866 learners, or 41.6 percent of last year’s ALS enrollment. This includes 11,040 males and 9,826 females.

Tagum City leads the ALS enrollment percentage with 83.47 percent, followed by Digos City with 64.09 percent, and Davao Occidental with 57.31 percent. Davao Oriental has the highest total ALS enrollees at 3,000, while Davao City has 2,940.

The ALS enrollment covers various programs, including the Basic Literacy Program, Accreditation and Equivalency (A\&E) Elementary, A\&E Secondary, and A\&E Senior High School. 

Davao de Oro recorded the highest number of A\&E Senior High enrollees at 1,308, while Davao Oriental led in A\&E Secondary with 1,953 learners.

DepEd-Davao continues to encourage parents and learners to complete the enrollment process before the opening of classes to ensure proper allocation of resources and preparation in schools across the region.
