LET’S face it. We all want clear, healthy skin but the Korean 10-step skin care routine can sometimes be too much work especially when it’s nighttime and you’re already too tired.

As they say, “tiis ganda lang”. Don’t sleep with your make-up on. Make sure that you clean your face before dozing off. Your skin will thank you.

But do you know you can still have clear skin even without having to follow all the 10 Korean skin-care steps? It saves you both the time and money without compromising getting a great skin.

Day

1. Facial Cleanser

Mary Kay facial cleanser, and their other products, may be a little bit pricier than the others but I can personally claim that it really is worth it. Because you only need to use a little amount every time you use it, the entire tube can actually last for almost a year! I also love my morena skin and as much as possible, I don’t buy whitening products. I don’t need them. This facial cleanser stays true to the promise of cleansing your face without necessarily whitening it more than you desire.

2. Exfoliate

Once a week, we need to exfoliate our skin to remove dirt and unwanted oil. I use the Bentonite Mask from a local enterprise MNQ Handmade Cosmetics. Mix a tablespoon of this to a tablespoon of water or apple cider vinegar and apply to your face. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes or until it hardens then rinse. This Bentonite Mask is supposed to help unclog pores, remove sebum, and to rejuvenate new healthy skin cells.

3. Toner

Personally, I was really hesitant to be trying a good toner. Someone from my previous work didn’t know she was allergic to a particular toner so it made her face swell and really red. You won’t even recognize her anymore. But because I know the good reputation of Human Nature as being organic, I gave it a try. For weeks of using it now, I was never disappointed.

4. Day Moisturizer

To spot a good moisturizer, you must take into consideration whether or not it feels greasy, sticky, or heavy on the skin. A good moisturizer should not make you feel this way.

5. CC Cream

While it is of utmost importance to pick the shade that best suits you when choosing a cc cream, you must also take into consideration the effect and the feel it will have on your skin. Mary Kay CC Cream is a personal choice because it doesn’t leave an annoying, cakey finish plus it has a certain glow after that I really love.

Night

1. Facial Cleanser

2. Toner

3. Serum

I learned that it can be a great alternative and can actually function just as greatly as the expensive facial serums. Serums are made to provide extra moisture to the skin. If used regularly, they can make your skin firmer, smoother, and the pores appear smaller.

4. Night Moisturizer

Made with Jojoba Oil and Collagen, this night moisturizer can help stimulate cell renewal as the skin regenerates. The scent is also chamomile so it’s perfect for a relaxing slumber.
