LAAK, DAVAO DE ORO — A wave of hope and youthful energy filled the air as more than 6,000 young people gathered for the second Laak Youth Summit, proudly standing in solidarity with the growing movement for Byaheng Kalinaw ug Panaghiusa.
With vibrant voices and united hearts, the youth declared their vision for a better future — one that champions peace over anger, unity over division, and public service that knows no boundaries or bias.
The summit was more than a gathering — it was a celebration of dreams, convictions, and the undeniable truth that the youth are not just the hope of tomorrow, but the driving force of today.
Present to listen, engage, and show support were leaders who believe in the power of the young: Congressional aspirant Noe “Butchoy” Taojo, gubernatorial candidate and current Congressman Ruwel Peter Gonzaga, and current governor and vice gubernatorial bet Dorothy “Dotdot” M. Gonzaga. Together with the youth, they pledged to work hand in hand for a future that is inclusive, peaceful, and progressive.
“Daghang salamat, kabatan-onan sa Laak!” Taojo remarked. “Your strength and enthusiasm fuel our continued journey toward peace, unity, and a brighter tomorrow.”
As chants of “Para sa Kabatan-onan!” echoed throughout the venue, it became clear: the youth of Laak are no longer just dreamers — they are movers, builders, and guardians of hope.
Indeed, with their spirit ablaze, the road to Kalinaw ug Panaghiusa has never been more alive. PR
