AS A means to promote Halal tourism and investments in Davao Region, the Philippine Halal Tourism Trade Expo will be held on June 18-20 at SMX Convention Center Davao.
The big event gathers stakeholders from BIMP-Eaga (Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines -East Asean Growth Area), foreign diplomatic missions, national government line agencies, Halal certifiers, academic institutions, culinary experts, and global brands active in pushing the country’s position in the regional Halal ecosystem.
Ampuan said that though Davao has been hosting the expo, this staging of the Halal expo will be in partnership with the academe.
She says the focus on the academe and the students aims to target the younger generation so they will be aware of the potentials and opportunities in the Halal industry. PIA DAVAO
