PLDT Inc., the country’s leading telecommunications and digital services provider, posted a two percent year-on-year increase in consolidated services revenue, reaching P194.7 billion in 2024. This growth was driven by strong demand across its core business segments—Mobile Data, Fiber, and Corporate Data/ICT—which collectively contributed P165.4 billion (88 percent of total revenues), excluding legacy services.

Among these, Mobile Data led with P74.4 billion, followed by Fiber at P56 billion, and Corporate PLDT’s revenue growth translated into improved profitability.

EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) rose four percent to P108 billion, up from P104.3 billion in 2023, maintaining a strong 52 percent margin.

Meanwhile, Telecore income increased by two percent to P35.1 billion and reported net income surged 21 percent to P32.3 billion. These figures exclude asset sales and losses from Maya Innovations Holdings, providing a clearer picture of PLDT’s core business performance.

“Our 2024 results highlight PLDT’s resilience and the continued demand for reliable connectivity. But our intention is to use this as a benchmark for even better performance in the coming years,” Manuel V. Pangilinan, chairman of the Board, president, and CEO, of PLDT Inc., said during an online briefing on February 27, 2025.

Meanwhile, Danny Yu, PLDT’s chief finance and risk officer, said: “Our focus remains on expanding revenues, managing costs, and improving cash flow generation in 2025.”

PLDT’s capital expenditure (capex) declined to 38 percent of total revenue in 2024, down from 42 percent in 2023 and 50 percent in 2022, reflecting more efficient resource allocation. The company invested P78.2 billion in critical infrastructure projects last year.

For 2025, PLDT expects capex to range from P6 billion to P73 billion, focusing on

expanding cell sites, upgrading LTE and 5G, increasing home fiber ports, and investing in AI-driven network and data center solutions.

As the digital landscape becomes increasingly competitive, PLDT’s investments in next-generation technology and network enhancements position it for long-term growth.

With a strong focus on 5G and LTE expansion, broader fiber coverage, and AI-driven innovations, the company aims to meet rising demand for high-speed internet while future-proofing its services for evolving technological advancements. DEF
